The Vibrant Machines

The Vibrant Machines is a musical creation project imagined by Charley Rose as a tribute to Jean Tinguely. At the crossroads of contemporary jazz, improvisation, and sound poetry, the ensemble explores repetition, movement, chance, and the mechanical energy that runs through Tinguely’s universe. Brought to life by a team of musicians based in Basel and across Switzerland, the project transforms the idea of the machine into a living experience: acoustic textures, effects, voice, percussion-objects, and open forms. Inspired by the work of the Swiss sculptor, The Vibrant Machines develops a singular stage language somewhere between concert, performance, and sound sculpture.
